The PCA Parent-Teacher Fellowship

participates in Box Tops for Education

  • What is "Box Tops for Education"?

Box Tops is a program from General Mills.  Participating products have a Box Top label like the photo above.  We collect and submit Box Tops twice each year at specified times.  General Mills donates 10¢ for each label submitted.  PTF shares the proceeds from Box Tops with the teachers.  We give the teachers a voucher equivalent to the class contribution of labels.  Teachers can use the funds for a class outing or extra curriculum materials like learning aids.

  • How do I help?

Clip and save the Box Tops labels from products you buy.  Put the labels in a ziploc bag and send to school with your child.  Teachers will turn in all labels for their class.  That's it!

Twice each year the PTF sponsors a Box Tops Challenge between classes.  To level the playing field for the varying class sizes, we take a per capita label count as opposed to a total class count.  That number is derived by taking the total number of labels for the class and dividing by the number of students for a per student average.  See how important it is for everyone to participate?  When the challenge ends, the class with the highest average wins the designated "prize".

  • What are the participating products?

It's a huge list!  Some products have bonus points too.  Click here for a current printable product list.

  • Who do I call if I have questions?

The PCA 2007-2008 Box Tops for Education is Kim French.
