About PCAAdvancementAthleticsCalendarEagle ClubFriday NoteLife at PCAPTF

Tuition alone will never meet the needs of a successful independent Christian school.  There will always be a “gap” between what tuition provides and the funds required for facility expansion, renovations, expanded programs for our students, etc.  Porter’s Chapel Academy is no exception.

In order for PCA to remain the extraordinary education value that it is and to keep tuition affordable, the Advancement Program was created to carry out the Annual Fund Campaign and to oversee Projects Fundraising:

  • The ANNUAL FUND is the program that closes the gap between what tuition affords and the other operational needs of the school.  The Annual Fund is called the “annual fund” because it is repeated every year.  All gifts are tax-deductible, making this program the most business-like and affordable way to help hold the line on tuition increases.  In addition, we are more likely to receive grants from large corporations and organizations if the school has a record of internal support.

  • PROJECTS FUNDRAISING targets specific needs of the teachers and students which can be met through some promotion, sale, or service which raises money in the name of the school.  Projects are primarily driven by a specific interest area of parents due to a student’s involvement in a particular area of school life, i.e. cheerleading, band, etc.  Some projects, like the ones carried out by our PTF, may be designated to benefit several areas at PCA.  The limit of “Projects Fundraising” is that we can never do enough projects to raise enough money to hold the line on tuition, build a building, improve teacher salaries, or retire debt.

It is expected that every parent make some level of financial commitment beyond tuition.  We invite friends, alumni, and grandparents of our students to make a contribution.  The compelling reason to make that commitment to the Annual Fund is, unlike project fund-raising and tuition payments, gifts are tax deductible.

Giving to PCA is convenient to do.  Make a one time contribution, or consider an automatic bank draft or multiple payment plan.  Your support for our students and faculty is well earned and deeply appreciated.
